Design: This study explores patients' lives in two demographical settings in South Sulawesi Province, Makassar and Selayar Islands Regency. It employs ethnography, including open-ended interviews and observations of patients, their neighborhoods, schools, and workplaces.
Medical treatment of severe blood loss during labor is crucial, and the early warning indicator of postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is essential for labor medical treatment. Measurement of blood loss conventionally looks dirty, reluctant, and less hygienic since some of the blood might be spilled out in the maternity bed, while commercially existing pads have low blood absorption capacity. A new design composite pad composed of absorbent materials, including cellulose rayon, super absorbent polymer (SAP), and zeolite was fabricated and characterized.

The navigation system must be able to identify objects in the robot's path and take evasive actions to avoid them. Developing an object detection system for an AMR requires a deep learning model that is able to achieve a high level of accuracy, with fast inference times, and a model with a compact size that can be run on embedded control systems.

The sound absorption coefficient (SAC) and noise reduction coefficient (NRC) of the SG specimen were evaluated based on a typical model-based design using the data analysis with MATLAB. The results showed that SG specimen with a thickness of 20 mm coated with the perforated aluminum sheet (PAS) compared to that without coating can improve the capability of sound absorption by 14% at the frequency of 4000 Hz.

Particular emphasis was put on addressing cross-cultural beliefs on the causes, management, and attitude toward cleft lip and/or cleft palate. A healthcare provider's awareness of these cross-cultural attitudes and beliefs is vital for promoting effective collaboration with patients' families and ensuring a favorable medical outcome.

The vaccine safety outcome profile is beneficial for further recommendations of COVID-19 vaccination in pregnancy.
Methods: This research was conducted as descriptive research.
Background: The implementation of Sharia Model Childbirth (SMC) is in accordance with Fatwa (MUI) no l07/DSN-MUI/X/2016 on the practice of sharia principles in health services. Sharia services in hospitals are general. This SMC innovation is specific and comprehensive, covering prenatal, delivery and postnatal.

The preparation and fabrication of membranes were performed through copolymerization and phase inversion techniques. Analysis of functional groups, tensile strength, morphology and surface wettability were employed in the characterization of the membranes.

So far, only two low-coverage pre-Neolithic human genomes have been sequenced from this region. Both are from mainland Hòabìnhian hunter-gatherer sites: Pha Faen in Laos, dated to 7939-7751 calibrated years before present (yr cal BP; present taken as AD 1950), and Gua Cha in Malaysia (4.

Aim: In the present study, the staining of 38% SDF alone and 38% SDF and potassium iodide (KI) was compared after restoration with glass-ionomer cement (GIC) and resin composite using ImageJ software.
Context: Glass ionomer cement (GIC) is known for its antimicrobial activity due to its low pH and fluoride release. The fluoride released has an inhibitory effect on a finite number of bacteria which leads to the risk of recurrent caries. Additives such as chlorhexidine (CHX) and triclosan have been tried to maximize the antibacterial activity of GIC.

Following cytoreduction surgery in ovarian cancer, tumor residue is one of the most important prognostic factors. Oncologists strive to be able to predict the outcome of cytoreduction surgery during the presurgical period.

Despite the technological advancement, no guiding tools are currently available to assist in the prediction of origin of PVC using a 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) before electrophysiology and ablation procedures. Park and co-workers compiled the existing algorithms for the morphology of ECG from the literature and generated a single algorithm based on specific features of ECG for the prediction of PVC origin.

A 7-month-old female child born to nonconsanguineous parents with a history of global developmental delay, since early infancy had reported to the department with facial features of mild dysmorphism. History of finger sucking and finger biting was evident, as there was a massive scab tissue over the dorsal aspect of the index finger, above the finger nail bed. A huge ulcer was evident on the right side of the dorsal aspect of anterior two-thirds of the tongue.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: In southern Papua, Indonesia, malaria is highly prevalent in young children and is a significant cause of morbidity and early mortality. The association between malaria and delayed mortality is unknown.
Methods: Routinely-collected hospital surveillance data from southern Papua, Indonesia, were used to assess the risk of recurrent malaria and mortality within 12 months of an initial presentation with malaria in all children younger than 5 years old attending the local hospital.
Background: Primaquine (PQ) prevents relapses of vivax malaria but may induce severe haemolysis in glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficient patients. Data on the safety of primaquine in infants are limited.
Methods: A retrospective, hospital-based cohort study of infants aged 1-12 months with vivax malaria was carried out in Timika, Papua province, Indonesia.
Replantation of avulsed incisors in young children is a successful treatment modality. Almost all replanted teeth exhibit ankylosis followed by inflammatory or replacement resorption, as immediate replantation is practically rare. The purpose of the review is to report a series of cases of prolonged delay in replantation of avulsed incisors and discuss its sequelae, leading to different patterns of root resorption after a minimum follow-up period of 24 months.

The use of the term "fibroma" for any soft-tissue lesion or gingival lesion by general practitioners has led to inadequate diagnosis of quite a few rare entities. The occurrence of gingival lesions in adolescent female patients is a routine clinical finding. The site of occurrence of such a lesion is of prime significance, as the rarity of these lesions is determined by the site and size of the lesion.
