There are always defects and oxygen vacancies in SnO prepared by solution methods, hindering efficient carrier transfer between SnO and the perovskite in perovskite solar cells. Thus, we employed MgAc to modify the interface. Carboxyl groups of MgAc filled the oxygen vacancies in SnO, reducing its surface defect density, and Mg partially replaced surface Sn, improving the properties of the SnO layer.

Tin-lead mixed perovskite solar cells (TLMPSCs), with the advantage of approaching the Shockley-Queisser (S-Q) limit for photovoltaic applications, have been rapidly developed and achieved a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 23.7%. Although the low toxicity of TLMPSCs is conducive to sustainable development, the oxidation of Sn could destroy the perovskite structure easily.

The performance of perovskite solar cells has been continuously improving. However, humidity stability has become a key problem that hinders its promotion in the process of commercialization. A buffer layer deposited by atomic layer deposition is a very helpful method to solve this problem.

Objective: To explore the distribution of γδT17/Th17/Tc17 cells in the peripheral blood of Uygur patients with chronic lymphoblastic leukemia (CLL) and clinical significance.

Methods: ELISA method was used to detect the levels of IL-17, IL-23, IL-6, and IFN-γ in the peripheral blood serum of 53 newly diagnosed Uygur patients with CLL and 30 healthy controls. Flow cytometry was used to determine the proportion of γδT/γδT17/Th17/Tc17 cells in the peripheral blood of Uygur CLL patients and controls, and the changes of the abover indexes in CLL Binet staging were observed.

The gut mucosa of human is covered by mucus, functioning as a crucial defense line for the intestine against external stimuli and pathogens. Mucin2 (MUC2) is a subtype of secretory mucins generated by goblet cells and is the major macromolecular component of mucus. Currently, there is an increasing interest on the investigations of MUC2, noting that its function is far beyond a maintainer of the mucus barrier.

The work describes a case of rare neonatal systemic juvenile xanthogranuloma with an initial damage of the scalp, limbs, back and abdomen, multiple damages of the parenchyma of both lungs, spleen and liver with the development of a severe form of congenital cholestatic hepatitis. The diagnosis was established on the basis of histopathological and immunohistochemical examination of the skin nodules. The child on the background of therapy under the Langerhans cell histiocytosis III program achieved a partial response, which was manifested by a reduction of granulomatous formations on the skin, elimination of liver failure, but retained hepatosplenomegaly, specific lesions of the lung parenchyma, liver, and left kidney.

Solar-driven photocatalysis mediated by semiconductors has been rapidly developed as a green and sustainable technology for environmental remediation. Continuous efforts have been devoted to novel semiconducting photocatalysts to boost the efficiency of the photocatalytic system. However, controversy has widely existed in materials characterization and photocatalytic activity evaluation.

The ischemia/reperfusion mechanism is believed to be responsible for parenchymal damage caused by temporary hypoperfusion and worsened by the subsequent attempt of reperfusion. This represents a true challenge for physicians of several fields, including neurosurgeons. A limited number of papers have shed the light on a rare pathologic condition that affects patients experiencing an unexplained neurologic deficit after spine surgery, the so-called "white cord syndrome.

Despite the mounting importance of digitalization among industries and the corporate sector, the stress on the transformation of business operations is limited, thus creating a gap in the literature. The current study aims at determining the role of technological acquisition and research and development (R&D) expenditure in innovative investment. Technological acquisition and R&D are two crucial indicators of digital innovation.

Hemostasis represents a fundamental step in every surgical procedure. During neurosurgical procedures, proper and robust hemostasis into confined spaces can significantly reduce the odds of perioperative complications. Over the decades, multiple methods have been applied, and several medical devices have been developed to promote and guarantee proper hemostasis.

The mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) functions as a critical regulator of cell cycle progression. However, the underlying mechanism by which mTOR regulates cell cycle progression remains elusive. In this study, we used stable isotope labeling of amino acids in cell culture with a two-step strategy for phosphopeptide enrichment and high-throughput quantitative mass spectrometry to perform a global phosphoproteome analysis of mTOR inhibition by rapamycin.

Brain gliomas require a deep knowledge of their effects on brain connectivity. Understanding the complex relationship between tumor and functional brain is the preliminary and fundamental step for the subsequent surgery. The extent of resection (EOR) is an independent variable of surgical effectiveness and it correlates with the overall survival.

Transcranial MR-guided Focused ultrasound (tcMRgFUS) is a surgical procedure that adopts focused ultrasounds beam towards a specific therapeutic target through the intact skull. The convergence of focused ultrasound beams onto the target produces tissue effects through released energy. Regarding neurosurgical applications, tcMRgFUS has been successfully adopted as a non-invasive procedure for ablative purposes such as thalamotomy, pallidotomy, and subthalamotomy for movement disorders.

Background: Because the neurological presentation of spinal epidural hematomas (SEH) is often not specific, they may be misdiagnosed as acute lumbar disk herniations. Here, we present a case in which a traumatic disc extrusion mimicked an epidural hematoma and reviewed the appropriate literature.

Case Description: A 27-year-old male sustained a high-energy fall.

Background: Therapeutic epidural spinal injections (ESIs) of steroids are one of the most common nonsurgical management modalities employed for alleviating pain due to chronic persistent lumbar spinal disease. However, it is well documented that they have significant risks and complications without any long-term efficacy. ESI may result in epidural empyema which may be difficult to diagnose with delays resulting in significant permanent neurological sequelae.
