Unlabelled: Despite the large number of studies devoted to the study of systemic sclerosis (SSc), the high risk of developing lymphomas in this disease, the relationship of their development with certain subtypes of SSc and specific SSc-associated autoantibodies is still debated in the literature.

Aim: To study demographic, clinical, laboratory and immunological characteristics of patients with a combination of primary Sjogrens syndrome (pSS) and SSc and diagnosed lymphoproliferative diseases (LPDs); to characterize morphological/immunomorphological variants and course of non-Hodgkins lymphomas (NHL), developing in patients with these rheumatic diseases (RDs).

Materials And Methods: In 19982018 at the Nasonova Research Institute of Rheumatology, 13 patients with clinical and laboratory manifestations of pSS (12) and SSc (13) were diagnosed with various lymphoproliferative diseases (LPDs).

Nitroxides are broadly used as molecular probes and labels in biophysics, structural biology, and biomedical research. Resistance of a nitroxide group bearing an unpaired electron to chemical reduction with low-molecular-weight antioxidants and enzymatic systems is of critical importance for these applications. The redox properties of nitroxides are known to depend on the ring size (for cyclic nitroxides) and electronic and steric effects of the substituents.

Tumor oxygenation (pO), acidosis (pH) and interstitial inorganic phosphate concentration (Pi) are important parameters of the malignant behavior of cancer. A noninvasive procedure that enables visualization of these parameters may provide unique information about mechanisms of tumor pathophysiology and provide clues to new treatment targets. In this research, we present a multiparametric imaging method allowing for concurrent mapping of pH, spin probe concentration, pO, and Pi using a single contrast agent and Overhauser-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging technique.

Overhauser-enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging (OMRI) is a double resonance technique applied for oxygen imaging in aqueous samples and biological tissues. In this report, we present an improved OMRI approach of oxygen measurement using the single line "Finland" trityl spin probe. Compared to a traditional approach, we introduced an additional mechanism of leakage of spin polarization due to an interaction of a spin system with oxygen.

Aim: To develop an effective and safe analgesic regimen (by minimizing the proportion of narcotic analgesics) in hemophiliac patients in the perioperative period during high-trauma surgeries (total knee and hip replacements).

Subjects And Methods: The prospective study included 24 patients aged 22 to 57 years (median age 38 years) with severe congenital hemophilia A (n = 22) and B (n = 2), who had undergone knee (n = 18) or hip (n = 6) replacements in the Hematology Research Center, Russian Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, in 2013. Two analgesic regimens (a) paracetamol with trimeperidine; b) paracetamol and ketamine with trimeperidine) were used.

Unlabelled: Purpose of the study was to analyze complications of the lung artery catheterization in patients with blood disease.

Materials And Methods: 93 cases of the lung artery catheterization in patients with blood disease were studied in the retrospective research.

Results: Indications for lung artery catheterization were septic shock (in 78.

Aim: To evaluate the effect of pathogen-inactivated platelet concentrates (PIPC) on posttransfusion platelet increments, hemorrhagic syndrome relief, and transfusion intervals.

Subjects And Methods: This prospective study included 29 hemoblastosis patients (13 women, 16 men), median age 38 years (20-66 years). Pathogens were inactivated by the photodynamic method using the Intecept system.

The paper gives a clinical case of left-sided chylothorax developing in a young woman in the second half of pregnancy due to thrombosis of the left internal jugular vein, left subclavian vein, and brachiocephalic trunk. Cesarean section was made. Medical treatment thereafter proved to be effective.

Men aged over 40 years more commonly develop NK/T-cell lymphomas (NK/T-CL). The paper describes a case of NK/T-CL in a 20-year-old man. Despite the fact that the disease (nasal septum perforation, hard palate bone destruction, recurrent nasopharyngeal bleeding, considerable weight loss, and high erythrocyte sedimentation rate,) progressed rapidly for 5 months, the patient was found to be diagnosed as having Wegener' granulomatosis (WG).

Unlabelled: The aim of the study is to compare results of the assessment of cardiac output and intrathoracic blood volume by two methods--transpulmonary (TTD) and ultrasound (UTD) thermodilution.

Materials And Methods: The prospective study included 58 patients (sepsis, septic shock, acute respiratory distress syndrome, intracranial haemorrhages), which underwent femoral artery catheterization with "Pulsiocath" 5Fr catheter (PICCO technology). For the means of ultrasound the catheter was connected to the central venous catheter by an arteriovenous loop.

In order to create new oral vanadyl organic complexes-based drugs for the treatment of diabetes mellitus biligand vanadyl derivative of L-malic acid (bis(L-malato)oxovanadium(IV) was prepared and its potential as a novel hypoglycemic agent was studied in the streptozotocin-diabetic rats. We show that the oral administration of bis(L-malato)oxovanadium(IV) with drink water significantly reduced glucose concentration in blood and urine, as well as the level of glycated proteins in the streptozotocin-diabetic rats.

The process of replacement of methane molecules in clathrate hydrate by carbon dioxide is studied experimentally. The dependence of the replacement extent on the concentration of the gas mixture coexisting with the hydrate is determined. The kinetics of the replacement is governed by two relaxation modes with a characteristic time ratio of about 10.

One of the crucial problems of developmental biology is the study of mechanisms of regulation of gene expression in early embryogenesis. Here we studied dynamics of mosaic appearance of a marker fluorescent protein in in vitro developing mice embryo derived from zygotes after microinjections to male pronuclei of cloned DNA fragment carrying EGFP under control of different promoters. Main attention was paid to initial stages of development, when structural rearrangements and reprogramming of both parental genomes, activation of zygotic genes, and control of development by embryo genome take place.

Using the experimental method of precision adiabatic calorimetry, the thermodynamic (equilibrium) properties of methane hydrate in quartz sand with a grain size of 90-100 microm have been studied in the temperature range of 260-290 K and at pressures up to 10 MPa. The equilibrium curves for the water-methane hydrate-gas and ice-methane hydrate-gas transitions, hydration number, latent heat of hydrate decomposition along the equilibrium three-phase curves, and the specific heat capacity of the hydrate have been obtained. It has been experimentally shown that the equilibrium three-phase curves of the methane hydrate in porous media are shifted to the lower temperature and high pressure with respect to the equilibrium curves of the bulk hydrate.
