Purpose: The present study was carried out to evaluate the radioprotective activities of N-acetyl-L-tryptophan (L-NAT) using rodent and non-human primate (NHP) models.
Materials And Methods: The antagonistic effect of L-NAT on the Transient receptor potential vanilloid-1 (TRPV1) receptor and substance P inhibition was determined using molecular docking and Elisa assays. The in radioprotective activity of L-NAT was evaluated using whole-body survival assays in mice and NHPs.
Drought is a natural disaster that can affect a larger area over time. Damage caused by the drought can only be reduced through its accurate prediction. In this context, we proposed a hybrid stacked model for rainfall prediction, which is crucial for effective drought forecasting and management.

To date, the main focus of these analyses has been on established, clinically-used imaging features. We sought to investigate if deep learning approaches can detect more nuanced patterns of image variability.

Materials And Methods: A total of 90 patients fulfilling the inclusion criteria were randomly allocated into two groups of 45 each.
Objective: Current postgraduate curriculum in India lacks practical training in ultrasound for residents in obstetrics and gynecology. The objective of this study was to develop and assess impact of a capacity building program utilizing clinical teaching and simulation to enhance knowledge and skills of residents at a healthcare facility in India.
Methods: A training program comprising of 14 modules on basic obstetric ultrasounds was created over 3 months.
Background Ileal perforations represent one of the most common surgical emergencies in India, associated with significant morbidity and mortality rates. The causes of these perforations include infections such as tuberculosis and enteric fever, as well as malignancy and trauma. Management options encompass ileostomy, resection with anastomosis, and primary closure.

Normothermic machine perfusion (NMP) allows a functional assessment of marginal organs using biochemical parameters. This study describes the histological changes in livers undergoing NMP.

Management includes endoscopic, laparoscopic, and open surgical methods. In India, the availability of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and laparoscopic surgery is limited often necessitating open procedures.

We report a rare case of furuncular myiasis in a 7-year-old boy presenting with a discharging nodule over the scalp. The report details the clinical presentation, examination findings, and dermoscopic features of furuncular myiasis. To the best of our knowledge, Chrysomya bezziana has never been reported to cause furuncular myiasis.

However, the encapsulation of NHC-coinage metal complexes in a metal-organic framework (MOF) to utilize them in organic catalysis is rare. In this work, an NHC-coordinated CuBr (NHC = BnIm; 1,3-dibenzyl-imidazol-2-ylidene) complex was encapsulated in UiO-67 MOF ((BnIm)CuBr@UiO-67) and further utilized toward the regioselective protoboration of terminal alkynes.

This is a condition that needs urgent intervention, but it can present with variable presentations and the gas under the right dome of the diaphragm makes the diagnosis in dilemma, confusing it with hollow viscous perforation. Hereby we present a case series of variable presentations of emphysematous liver abscesses, successfully managed by timely intervention.

Conventionally, RV diastolic dysfunction (RVDD) is assessed and graded using criteria from either the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) or the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE), with measurements done by transthoracic echocardiography (TTE). However, during cardiac surgery, perioperative echocardiographic evaluation is done predominantly by transesophageal echocardiography (TEE).
