Background: Gingivitis is a dysbiotic condition characterized by persistent inflammation caused by a disease-associated multispecies bacterial population that has established itself in the subgingival region.
Aim: The objectives of this study are to analyze the anti-inflammatory activity of sappan wood extract cream (SWC) in induced-periodontitis rats model.
Methods: In this study, rats were infected with the gingiva with as an inducer for gingivitis rats model for 14 days.

The bacterium Bacillus subtilis is a widely used study model and industrial workhorse organism that belongs to the group of gram-positive bacteria. In this study, we report the analysis of a newly sequenced complete genome of B. subtilis strain SRCM117797 along with a comparative genomics of a large collection of B.

This study aimed to identify the primary compound responsible for this inhibitory effect. Through a systematic investigation, MT leaf extracts were subjected to solvent-solvent partitioning using ethyl acetate, -hexane, -butanol, and dichloromethane.

Unaddressed chronic inflammation can lead to persistent disturbances in other parts of the body. Brazilin is a naturally occurring plant chemical that may have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects.

Methods: A questionnaire survey using a web platform was conducted in May 2020 using a simple random sample of 3586 dentists working in different regions of Indonesia. The questionnaire attempted to elicit their knowledge and attitudes towards COVID-19, implementing IC measures, and providing dental care during the outbreak.
Hyperuricemia, a condition characterized by elevated levels of uric acid in the blood, is known as a risk factor for gout disease. In this study, we isolated a total of 72 MRS-grown colonies and evaluated their purine nucleosidase (PNase) activity. Among the isolated bacteria, LAB42 displayed the highest PNase activity.

However, their effects on certain characteristics of solid-state properties of carrageenan have not been identified. This research aimed to investigate the effect of alkaline solvent type and pH on the solid physical properties of carrageenan isolated from .

Background: Despite the applications of Bacillus subtilis group species in various sectors, limited information is available regarding their phages. Here, 61 B. subtilis group species-infecting phages (BSPs) were studied for their taxonomic classification considering the genome-size, genomic diversity, and the host, followed by the identification of orthologs taxonomic signature genes.

However, the search for appropriate cell sources and methods is still being carried out until now. Direct reprogramming using microRNA-1 (miR-1) is an option to obtain cardiomyocytes from other cells because miR-1 has evidence to play a role in the development of cardiac muscle cells in the embryo.

HMGB1 was defined as a bone-active cytokine, but the rule of HMGB1 in bone loss of chronic periodontitis is still understood.
Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate the expression of HMGB1 on osteoblasts and osteoclasts in the mandible of chronic periodontitis.
In the field of neurosurgery, often the dura mater cannot be sutured, and consequently, it requires a duraplasty procedure using a dural fascial graft. Since 1890, various materials have been researched as dura mater substitutes. Amniotic membrane, for example, is suitable as a dural graft material and has been used in neurosurgery since 2012.

During the period of 1990 and 2000, three more tissue banks were set up, i.e.
