Aims: The involvement of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) in bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) osteogenic differentiation during osteoporosis (OP) development has attracted much attention. In this study, we aimed to disclose how LINC01089 functions in human mesenchymal stem cell (hMSC) osteogenic differentiation, and to study the mechanism by which LINC01089 regulates MSC osteogenesis.
Methods: Quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) and western blotting were performed to analyze LINC01089, miR-1287-5p, and heat shock protein family A (HSP70) member 4 (HSPA4) expression.
Proteomics is crucial in clinical research, yet the clinical application of proteomic data remains challenging. Transforming proteomic mass spectrometry (MS) data into red, green, and blue color (MS-RGB) image formats and applying deep learning (DL) techniques has shown great potential to enhance analysis efficiency. However, current DL models often fail to extract subtle, crucial features from MS-RGB data.

In this study, we developed a temperature-sensitive and less immunogenic Sendai virus (ts SeV) as a novel delivery vector for CRISPR-Cas9 and for efficient gene editing in sensitive human cell types with limited induction of an innate immune response. ts SeV demonstrates high transduction efficiency in human CD34 hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) including transduction of the CD34/CD38/CD45RA/CD90(Thy1)/CD49f stem cell enriched subpopulation.

This study aimed to assess the potential of J147, a novel neurotrophic compound, in alleviating ER stress by modulating related signaling pathways, thereby promoting functional recovery in TBI. To this end, adult mice underwent controlled cortical impact (CCI) injury to induce TBI, followed by oral administration of J147 one-hour post-injury, with daily dosing for 3 to 7 days.

This process of membrane fusion is mediated by the Soluble N-ethylmaleimide-Sensitive Factor Attachment Proteins REceptor (SNARE) protein complex, which in neurons and neuroendocrine cells is composed of the vesicular SNARE protein Synaptobrevin and the plasma membrane proteins Syntaxin and SNAP25 (Synaptosomal-Associated Protein of 25 kDa). Before a vesicle can undergo fusion and release of its contents, it must dock at the plasma membrane and undergo a process named 'priming', which makes it ready for release.

The F protein is proteolytic cleaved to be fusogenically active. J paramyxovirus (JPV) has a unique feature in the family Paramyxoviridae: It encodes an integral membrane protein, syncytial protein (SP, formerly known as transmembrane protein, TM), which is essential in JPV-promoted cell-cell fusion (i.

Epigenetic modifications play an important role in cellular senescence, and enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) is a key methyltransferase involved in epigenetic remodeling in multiple myeloma (MM) cells. We have previously demonstrated that GSK126, a specific EZH2 inhibitor, exhibits anti-MM therapeutic efficacy and safety and ; however, its specific mechanism remains unclear. This study shows that GSK126 induces cellular senescence in MM, which is characterized by the accumulation of senescence-associated heterochromatin foci (SAHF) and p21, and increased senescence-associated β galactosidase activity.

Extensive evidence supports that resveratrol and apigenin have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiproliferative properties. Here, we investigated the ability of these two compounds to alleviate diquat-induced jejunal oxidative stress and morphological injury, using the duck as a model, as well as the effects of apigenin on oxidative stress induced by HO in immortalized duck intestinal epithelial cells (IDECs).

Based on a panel threshold regression model, we examine in this paper whether quality of life helps regional economies realize developmental convergence. The research shows that: (1) The quality of life overall can promote regional economic development and passes the series test with relatively robust results.

Vision-language navigation is a task that requires an agent to follow instructions to navigate in environments. It becomes increasingly crucial in the field of embodied AI, with potential applications in autonomous navigation, search and rescue, and human-robot interaction. In this paper, we propose to address a more practical yet challenging counterpart setting - vision-language navigation in continuous environments (VLN-CE).

The results showed that the depletion attraction drove the adsorption of egg yolk protein particles at the oil-water interface and the formation of osmotic droplet clusters due to the attachment of particle-coated droplets in the dispersed phase, leading to kinetic blocking and stable gelation of HIPPEs. Rheological measurements showed that HIPPEs had shear thinning, low shear stress, viscoelastic properties, and structural recovery properties, which facilitated easy consumption for the elderly.
