However, challenges such as limited CNS penetration, optimal treatment duration, and systemic side effects have impeded their clinical translation for pediatric brain tumors (PBTs).
Methods: We evaluated the potency of CDK4/6 inhibitors across various PBTs cell lines, focusing particularly on palbociclib against atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor (ATRT) with cell viability assays and gene expression analysis.
The objective of this study is to examine the preparation of activated carbon with a fibrous structure obtained from olive pomace through a chemical activation process using phosphoric acid (HPO) as the activating agent under air at a lower temperature. According to the findings, the most effective conditions to achieve high-performance activated carbon were 22 vol% of HPO, a 2-h chemical activation impregnation residence time at 50 °C, and a 500 °C pyrolysis temperature for 1 h. Structural analysis revealed that activated carbons possess highly developed textural and structural properties, resulting in an iodine value of 923 mg/g and a specific surface of 1400 m/g.

Introduction: Syphilis remains a significant challenge in public health, largely because of its diverse clinical manifestations, often resulting in underdiagnosis especially among patients with neurogenic disability.
Case Description: We present a case of neurosyphilis in a 63-year-old patient with a spinal cord injury. Despite syphilis being a well-established sexually transmitted infection, the exacerbation of neurological and dermatological symptoms during physical examination prompted an investigation into alternative causes beyond the patient's pre-existing paraparesis, ultimately resulting in the diagnosis of neurosyphilis.

The extent to which electrophores covalently bridged by a saturated linker are electrochemically independent was investigated considering the charge/spin duality of the electron and functionality of the electrophore as a spin carrier upon reduction. By combining computational modeling with electrochemical experiments, we investigated the mechanism by which tethered electrophores react together within 4,4'-oligo[n]methylene-bipyridinium assemblies (with n=2 to 5). We show that native dicationic electrophores (redox state Z=+2) are folded prior to electron injection into the system, allowing the emergence of supra-molecular orbitals (supra-MOs) likely to support the process of the reductive σ bond formation giving cyclomers.
