Physical activity improves myocardial structure, function, and resilience via complex, incompletely defined mechanisms. We explored the effects of 1- to 2-wk swim training on cardiac and systemic phenotype in young male C57Bl/6 mice. Two-week forced swimming (90 min twice daily) resulted in cardiac hypertrophy (22% increase in heart:body weight, < 0.

This study aims to evaluate the role of PLR as a prognostic predictive marker in adults with TBI.
Methods: This systematic review was conducted according to the Preferred Reporting Items in the Systematic Review and Meta-analysis Guidelines 2020.
Background: Several conflicting reviews have concluded that the use of loop diuretics is associated with poorer clinical and safety outcomes. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of tolvaptan as an adjunct to conventional diuretic therapy in patients with acute heart failure (AHF).
Methods: A comprehensive search was conducted on PubMed, Embase, ProQuest, EBSCO, and Cochrane Library until 24 May 2023 to identify randomized controlled trials that compared the effects of tolvaptan with conventional therapy and placebo in patients with AHF.
Introduction: The Covid-19 pandemic greatly affected various aspects of life. To prevent and control its spread, people are morally and legally obliged to wear face facemasks. The use of facemasks brings many waste problems.

Indonesia currently has the highest number of births to adolescent girls aged 15-19 years in Southeast Asia. There is a need to develop a more nuanced understanding of the drivers of adolescent pregnancy in Indonesia to inform programmes and policies tailored to young people's needs and priorities.

Unfortunately, they can carry potential zoonotic helminths that can be transmitted to humans. However, data on the gastrointestinal helminths affecting dogs and cats in Bogor, Indonesia, are currently lacking.

In this study, ramie materials were prepared to evaluate the modification crosslinking effect of natural fiber. The aim is to optimize various concentrations of citric acid (CA) crosslinking by adding Sodium hypophosphite (NaPO2H2), which is activated at different temperatures, to obtain the highest tensile mechanical strength.

However, post-procedural brain edema remained present in around half of EVT patients. Malignant brain edema (MBE) is a serious condition that can lead to increased intracranial pressure, rapid neurologic deterioration, and cerebral herniation, neutralizing the favorable efficacy of EVT on functional outcomes.

Our study depends on cross-sectional data from 34 provinces and the time-series data from 2009 to 2020. We carry out the causality test (Dumitrescu-Hurlin) to check whether our research model is good enough to provide strategic options nationally.

Ongoing controversy exists regarding the role of surgical intervention in JO and CSFF given the poorer hearing outcomes and complications when compared with surgical intervention for adult otosclerosis. The objective of this study is to assess the published data on the surgical outcomes of JO and CSFF in order to guide clinicians and counsel patients on the various medical options for these disease entities.

Near-infrared fluorescence cholangiography using indocyanine green (NIF-ICG) in LC has been extensively used and accepted as beneficial auxiliary tool to visualize extrahepatic biliary structures intraoperatively. This study aimed to analyze its safety and efficacy.

This was a single-centered, retrospective descriptive study of 763 patients admitted to the COVID-19 Emergency Field Hospital of Bangkalan from July 5 2021 to September 30 2021. The demographic data, clinical signs and symptoms, pre-existing comorbidities, therapy, and clinical outcomes of the patients were analyzed using SPSS.

The most likely clinical diagnosis in patient with tumor in another organ is metastatic brain tumor. Although GBM is the most common brain tumor, it is rarely coexistent with other malignancies.

However, Milligan-Morgan (MM) may offer the best result of long-term cure rates. In this study, we aim to compare the efficacy between LHP and MM for hemorrhoidal disease treatment.

However, no study has evaluated the skeletal muscle proteome response to limb immobilization using SWATH proteomic methods. This study characterized the shifts in individual muscle protein abundance and corresponding gene sets after 3 and 14 d of unilateral lower limb immobilization in otherwise healthy young men.

Introduction: Umbilical hernia usually manifests as a bulging of umbilicus. Invisible incarcerated umbilical hernia has never been reported.
Case Presentation: A 53-years-old obese woman admitted to hospital with abdominal pain and vomitus one day after discharged from other hospital, was managed conservatively as an adhesion small bowel obstruction (ASBO) for seven days.
Breed type and environmental factors such as breeding season may have a significant impact on neonatal morphometrics. We followed a total of 236 elective cesarean sections in Belgian Blue (BB) cows, from which neonatal calves were morphometrically assessed (in cm) within the first 72 h of delivery using a strictly standardized protocol. The effect of the season of birth on each calf measurement was analyzed using mixed linear regression models, including the farm of origin as a random effect.

We compared changes in muscle mass and the transcriptome profile after short-term immobilization in a divergent model of high and low responders to endurance training to identify biological processes associated with the early atrophy response. Female rats selectively bred for high response to endurance training (HRT) and low response to endurance training (LRT; n = 6/group; generation 19) underwent 3 day hindlimb cast immobilization to compare atrophy of plantaris and soleus muscles with line-matched controls (n = 6/group).
