Objective: Aim: To showcase a rare retinal lesion and the results of contemporary diagnostic and treatment of interferon-induced retinopathy.

Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: We describe a case of a 36-year-old patient with interferon-induced retinopathy, with hepatitis C, that received prolonged interferon treatment. Clinical signs, examination and combined laser and pharmacologic treatment were showcased in the study.

The energy of the isolated iron-nickel nanocluster was calculated by molecular mechanics method using Lennard-Jones potential. The cluster included a carbon atom that drifted from an inside octahedral interstice to a tetrahedral interstice in [Formula: see text] direction and after that in <222> direction to the surface. In addition, one of 14 iron atoms was replaced by a nickel atom, the position of which was changing during simulation.

Energy change of an iron face-centred cubic subnanocluster was evaluated using molecular mechanics method depending on the position of a carbon interstitial atom and substitutional atoms of nickel. Calculations of all possible positions of impurity atoms show that the energy change of the system are discrete and at certain positions of the atoms are close to continuous. In terms of energy, when all impurity atoms are on the same edge of an atomic cluster, their positions are more advantageous.

Morbidity among the personnel of a Kola-based (beyond the Arctic circle) atomic (ASM) and diesel-powered (DSM) submarines in the course of long-distance cruises in different waters of the world ocean was studied. Statistics was collected from the reports of submarine medical officers since 1969. Levels and causes of morbidity were analyzed.

The article discusses the results of treatment and the effect of rehabilitation of 169 patients with carcinoma of the rectum who underwent Duhamel's operation. The authors consider Duhamel's operation to be indicated in carcinoma of the superampullary and rectosigmoid parts of the rectum. They believe that the percentage of patients who resumed activity at the former place of work without expert medical assessment of their working capacity is the criterion of the efficacy of medical rehabilitation.

The article analyzes an experience with treatment of 83 patients with necrosis of the descended gut after 1128 sphincter-preserving resections of the rectum. The rectum resection if performed at high professional level and the drug correction of coexistent diseases were found to reduce the amount of necroses of the descended gut up to 4%. In 33.
