Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the significance of associations between knowledge, professional ethics, institutional support, perceptions regarding HIV/AIDS, and HIV/AIDS-related stigma among health workers in West Sumatra, Indonesia.

Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study involving health workers at public hospitals and health centers in West Sumatra in June 2022. The Health Care Provider HIV/AIDS Stigma Scale was employed to assess the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS.

This research report of the synthesis of composite polymers from liquid crystal mesogen reactive (RM82) monomers with Methyl methacrylate (MMA). The purpose of this research is analysis the effect concentration of MMA on the surface and thermal of the composite polymer PMMA-RM82. The result of the morphological analysis of composite surfaces performed by polarization optical microscopy (POM) technique showed liquid crystal textures affected composition from two monomers.

Introduction: Assessment of data quality in the era of big data is crucial for effective data management and use. However, there are gaps in data quality assessment for routine health data to ensure accountability. Therefore, this research aims to improve the routine health data quality that have been collected and integrated into Aplikasi Satu Data Kesehatan (ASDK) as the primary health data system in Indonesia.

Introduction: Microbial isolates from culture can be identified using 16S or whole-genome sequencing which generates substantial costs and requires time and expertise. Protein fingerprinting Matrix-assisted Laser Desorption Ionization-time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) is widely used for rapid bacterial identification in routine diagnostics but shows a poor performance and resolution on commensal bacteria due to currently limited database entries. The aim of this study was to develop a MALDI-TOF MS plugin database (CLOSTRI-TOF) allowing for rapid identification of non-pathogenic human commensal gastrointestinal bacteria.

The genus Prevotella comprises 55 species with validly published, and correct, names (at June 2021) that are phenotypically, ecologically and functionally diverse. This study used a range of comparative genome approaches (marker gene-based genome phylogeny, core genome phylogeny, average amino acid identity, percentage of conserved proteins and clade-specific marker genes) to identify large differences between the 53 species for which genomes are available, as well as two effectively published yet not validly named species and four novel species. These differences were consistent between the various analysis methods and justify the separation of Prevotella into multiple genera.

The microbond test of natural fibers tends to produce scattered interfacial shear stress (IFSS) values. The sources of this scattering are known, but the roles they play in producing high IFSS scattering remain to be investigated. In this study, a numerical method was used to simulate microbond testing and to examine the experimental parameters in a microbond test of fiber/epoxy.

In November 2021, clients attending the Melbourne Sexual Health Centre were invited to participate in the Annual Client Satisfaction Survey by receiving an SMS link at 5:15pm on the day they attended the clinic. We analysed the response time data and found that most (60%; 168/278) individuals responded to the survey during the time period 5:00-5:59pm, which wasaround the time when they received the SMS. We concluded that individuals responded quickly to the survey via an SMS link.

Cultivation via classical agar plate (CAP) approaches is widely used to study microbial communities, but they are time-consuming. An alternative approach is the application of single-cell dispensing (SCD), which allows high-throughput, label-free sorting of microscopic particles. We aimed to develop a new anaerobic SCD workflow to cultivate human gut bacteria and compared it with CAP using faecal communities on three rich culture media.

Nowadays, the issue of teachers' psychological well-being causes serious concern, especially in Malaysia. Many studies related to psychological well-being have focused on students rather than on the health and well-being of teachers. Thus, the current study investigated the determinants of psychological well-being (depression, anxiety and stress) from the psychosocial work environment (job control, job demands and social support), and examined the moderating role of job control and social support in the relationship between job demands and psychological well-being among teachers.

Today, the spread of the Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic continues to impact on world public health and bring about considerable human suffering partly due to government policies on reducing the spread. COVID-19 has significantly affected human health and it has impacted on the occupation of vulnerable groups such as tour guides, drivers and shop assistants. Of these, the present study aims to investigate the impact of the COVID-19 self-isolation policy on the occupation of vulnerable groups in Semarang City, Indonesia.

Gut microbes affect the physiology of their hosts. Studying their diversity and functions is thus of utmost importance as it will open new avenues towards the discovery of new biomolecules and the treatment of diseases. Gut microbiome research is currently boosted by the unification of metagenomics, which has dominated the field in the last two decades, and cultivation, which is experiencing a renaissance.

Our knowledge about the gut microbiota of pigs is still scarce, despite the importance of these animals for biomedical research and agriculture. Here, we present a collection of cultured bacteria from the pig gut, including 110 species across 40 families and nine phyla. We provide taxonomic descriptions for 22 novel species and 16 genera.

Electronic Health (eHealth) systems show a growing trend in developing countries to enhance their respective healthcare services. However, there is a lack of empirical study regarding readiness during preparation for eHealth implementation in Primary Health Care (PHC) units, specifically for antenatal care health workers who serve not only for personal care but also community services. The survey-based data applied in this research describes the assessment of the pre-implementation of the Electronic Pregnancy Registration and Monitoring System amongst health workers who involved in ANC services in primary health care (PHC) units of South Tangerang district, an urban area of Banten Province, Indonesia.

Objectives: The aim of this study is to explore the enabling factors associated with readiness in Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation and to identify the barriers related to readiness regarding the situation of primary health cares in developed and developing countries.

Methods: A narrative review of open-source literature was conducted using the ProQuest, ScienceDirect, MEDLINE, and PMC databases to identify the enabling factors and barriers to EHR readiness. The keywords applied were 'electronic health record', 'readiness', 'primary health care', and 'primary care'.

Background: Guidelines recommend frequent screening of men who have sex with men (MSM) for sexually transmissible infections (STIs) but few interventions have demonstrated increased testing and detection of bacterial STIs among MSM in controlled studies.

Methods: We used automated text message and email reminders generated by computer assisted self-interview (CASI) to remind MSM to retest for syphilis. We compared clinic visits, STI testing and detection rates over 12 month between men receiving reminders (reminder group) and men not offered the reminders (concurrent control group).
