Objective: This study evaluates the impact of local and systemic administration of penicillin on the antimicrobial properties and growth factors of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) under in vitro conditions.
Materials And Methods: The study involved 12 volunteers. Four tubes of venous blood were collected before systemic antibiotic administration.
Objectives: To investigate the effect of different surface treatments and resin cements on the shear bond strength of zirconia ceramics with different yttria concentrations.
Methods: Zirconia blocks characterized by different yttria concentrations [Vita YZ HT (HT), Vita YZ ST (ST) and Vita YZ XT (XT)] were used to prepare disc-shaped specimens (n=252). Specimens prepared to investigate shear bond strength (SBS), water contact angle and surface roughness (Ra) were divided into four subgroups; control (C), sandblasting (S), sandblasting + nonthermal plasma treatment (SNTP) and nonthermal plasma treatment (NTP).
Objectives: To investigate the impact of a Ti-Sr-O technology, applied to either a turned surface or an SLA surface, on the mechanical robustness of osseointegration, benchmarked against the SLActive surface.
Material And Methods: Ti discs (6.25-mm-diameter and 2-mm-thick) with three different surfaces were inserted on the proximal-anterior part of the tibial plateau of adult Swedish loop rabbits: (I) turned surface modified with Ti-Sr-O (turned + Ti-Sr-O), (II) SLA surface modified with Ti-Sr-O (SLA + Ti-Sr-O), and (III) SLActive surface (SLActive).
Background: Le Fort 1 (LF1) osteotomies are widely used to correct midface deformities. To move the maxilla freely, the ptery-gomaxillary junction (PMJ) must be separated. When performing this osteotomy, the pterygoid plate must remain intact.

Therefore, the main purpose of this umbrella study was to evaluate the extent of contact loss between implant prostheses and adjacent natural teeth. Electronic database of MEDLINE/PubMed, Cochrane, and Google Scholar was searched until August 2021 without considering language restrictions and according to Preferred Report Items for Systematic and Meta-Analysis guidelines (preferential reporting items for systematic review and meta-analysis).

The aim of this study was to evaluate the salivary and GCF levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-10, and IL-17A and their associations with the periodontal statuses of UC, CD, and non-IBD patients, and to analyze the interrelationships among these cytokines, IBD conditions, and periodontal diseases.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed with a total of 131 patients (62 women and 69 men, mean age 42.
Objectives: To compare the 3-year clinical and radiographic outcomes of two different reconstructive surgical management of peri-implantitis using a bone substitute in combination with either concentrated growth factor (CGF) or collagen membrane (CM).
Material And Methods: Fifty-one patients who had at least one implant presenting peri-implantitis with an intrabony defect were filled with a xenogenic bone grafting material and covered either CGF or CM. Clinical and radiographic assessments were carried out at baseline and postoperative years 1 and 3.
Materials And Methods: The electronic search was conducted in the MEDLINE/PubMed, Cochrane, and Google Scholar databases until November 2020, regardless of language limitations. The inclusion criterion was as follows: S/M-R regarding prosthetic restorations in endodontically treated teeth. Three qualified researchers evaluated the inclusion criteria and bias risk.

Materials And Methods: Three 3D FEA models were designed, presuming maxillary lateral incisor and canine to be extracted. Implant (replacing canine), abutment, bone (spongious and cortical), central incisor (containing dentin, root cement, gutta-percha, and casting post and core), periodontal ligament, and three three-unit cemented PFM prostheses (a rigid one and two nonrigid) were modeled.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine a predictive decision model for peri-implant health and disease and to reveal the highest accuracy of prediction using three different data mining methods.
Materials And Methods: This cross-sectional study included a total of 216 patients with 542 dental implants from the Periodontology Department of Gazi University. The implants were classified into peri-implant health, peri-implant mucositis, and peri-implantitis groups based on established clinical and radiographic assessments.
Objectives: This prospective study was designed to assess whether patients with skeletal deformities show characteristic masseter inhibitory reflex (MIR) and blink reflex (BR) patterns. Background: The effect of bisphosphonates on the resorption process of normal bone tissue has been clearly mentioned in the literature, while their effect on the grafting material is a new research area. Limited former study is not sufficient to determine the strength, reliability and dosage of bisphosphonates. In this study, our aim is to examine the effects of local and systemic use of bisphosphonates in bone graft applications on bone healing, histopathologically.
