Aims: Floods badly impact the food and nutrition security in developing countries. The role of the government and the impact of floods on the underweight status of children in the affected areas is not clear. We aimed to find the determinants of underweight in flood-affected areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.

Prognostic Value of Fibrinogen/HDL Ratio in Idiopathic Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss.

Objectives: Vascular causes are most frequently implicated in idiopathic sudden sensorineural hearing loss (ISSHL), and the process has been reported to be associated with fibrinogens and plasma lipoproteins. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between serum fibrinogen and high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels, and the ratios of fibrinogen/HDL and monocyte/HDL, and ISSHL.

Materials And Methods: The present retrospective study included 116 patients with ISSHL.

EMC is regarded as a low grade-malignancy tumor, and the treatment protocol involves wide surgical excision with secure clear margins although postoperative radiotherapy is generally performed to reduce local recurrence.
